VIRGINIA
MAP MODERNIZATION MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Online Survey for Communities with Effective Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps
Authorization Code:
Introduction
The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the flood map modernization process that was recently completed in your community. Below are questions detailing the following topics:
I. Your community's involvement in the map modernization process and the creation of new maps
II. Your local government's utilization and acceptance of the new maps
III. Your community's response to the new maps
IV. Issues or concerns related to the new maps
The results of the online survey will be compiled and forwarded to the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Division of Floodplain Management. Your input will be used for future plans to Virginia's Map Modernization effort. Some questions may require input from other personnel or departments. You may submit as many survey responses as needed. Use the authorization code provided in the letter from Dave Gunn of the DCR's Division of Floodplain Management for each response.
Please contact the Center for Geospatial Information Technology (CGIT) at Virginia Tech if you have any questions (cgit@vt.edu, (540)231-8490). Thank you very much for providing the requested information.
